The Budget Allocation Table (under Setup menu) has an
auto-update option which may be more advantageous than this % of Account Range
option.
The following example shows how to calculate FICA based on a
percentage of salary accounts.
Click the % of Account Range option
Enter the range of salary accounts to be
calculated. You can calculate at any
level of range of accounts. The
level of accounts calculated dictates the level of account to be
updated. The example represents the
range of all salary accounts.

Enter the budget year.
Click OK.

Enter the percentage rate. (FICA is currently 6.2%.)
Enter the account# for the FICA account budget to be
calculated.

Click OK to perform the calculation. Based on the account level range
selected, every FICA account (2310) will be updated.
The following example represents a limited range of
accounts. In this calculation, only
Fund 01, Branch/Dept 00101 would be calculated and the FICA account (2310)
updated in Fund 01/Branch/Dept 00101.

Warning: If any
budget amounts have previously been entered in the account# to be updated, they
will be overlaid.
See Tools-Account Selection Budget Options-Clear Budget if,
for any reason, it is necessary to remove the budget amounts just
calculated.
